So proud to announce that this month Charlie's Gift has reached a milestone goal of awarding over £150,000 in grants since our charity's registration in 2013!
More importantly this means that over the past 6 years we have been able to support 178 amazing local families and children's groups across Herts, Beds and Bucks.
It is only with the ongoing support of the local community that we have been able to make a difference to lives some very deserving children, who face many difficult challenges on a daily basis.
All of the children we provide assistance to are affected either by disability, special need, illness, bereavement or financial hardship. Your generosity has meant that we have been able to provide funds for all of these wonderful things:
32 x special needs buggies
34 x Lycra therapy suits
13 x ipads and laptops with special needs communication apps/software
13 x holidays and residential breaks
10 x blocks of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, hydrotherapy and counselling sessions
4 x motorised and lightweight wheelchairs
4 x disability trikes and scooters
15 x sets of sensory toys and soft play
2 x special needs bath seats
2 x highchairs and special needs seats
3 x beds and bedding
3 x eye gaze tablet stands
7 x sets of wheelchair and buggy accessories
In addition to this we have funded many other items such as a special needs swing set, a trampoline, an epilepsy monitor, a garden den, PODD books, a rocking horse, weighted blankets, and a special needs vehicle harness to name but a few.
Charlie's Gift is going from strength to strength and 2019 is already our busiest year for grant making to date. We can't thank you all enough for your continued support of our charity.
