2nd Annual Charlie Fidler Golf Day September 8, 2012 15:12

For the second year running, September 2012 saw the return of the Charlie Fidler Golf Day at West Herts Golf Club. Teeing off after lunch, 12 teams of 3 balls battled out over 18 holes.

Two competitions were in play, best individual stableford score and the best team score using a yellow ball. The rules were such that each team was presented with one yellow ball, which each member of the team should take turns in playing.  If the ball was lost, then the team was out of the competition.

At the end of a glorious sunny day of golf, only four teams returned the yellow ball.  So not as easy at it first sounded! The day was completed with a gala dinner and an auction of sporting memorabilia, golf days and weekends away.

The Club raised a fantastic £3300 in Charlie’s memory, with all proceeds being presented directly to Dan Pennington of Anaphylaxis Research.
